This summer I was asked to be a apart of the inaugural Vortex Film Festival in Vermillion South Dakota by introducing the documentary Badger Clark: Poet Among the Pines and hosting a Q&A with director Brad Dumke after the film. Badger Clark was South Dakota's first Poet Laureate and an all-around absolute character very worthy of this hour-long PBS documentary. Brad and I had such a fun conversation with the audience I invited him to Lou Land to chat more about the process of making the documentary and the poet Badger Clark.
This is only the tip of the iceberg of Brad's work, check out his website Videography | Experience 1856 for more details on his work.
